Innovation X delivers student-focused programming offered through the College of Business (COB) that allows students to explore entrepreneurship, test new business ideas and launch new ventures.
Lens of the Market® (LoM) targets primarily science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) graduate students through is a three-part training and education process that builds value for the innovation and the innovator, providing scientists and engineers with the full range of vocabulary and skills required for successful translation of their research into commercial ventures. Transcript visible course (GRAD 570 and GRAD 571) as well as OSU’s Profession and Continuing Education (PACE) programming (Research2Innovation) are available.
Next Great Startup is OSU’s annual, multi-round competition for student-led teams looking to turn a startup idea into a real company. This is a campus-wide opportunity for startup ventures to get visibility, bragging rights, prizes and direct one-on-one mentorship with venture capitalists and local entrepreneurs. Mentorship, money, professional services and visibility are all on the line, however; the real prize is walking away with an actual company.
OSU Advantage Accelerator is focused on high-growth, traded sector startup and early stage organizations and is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program as an I-Corps Site. In 2017, the OSU Advantage Accelerator was recognized by GUST as the 8th most active business incubators/accelerators in the US in Canada. They offer a unique three-stage approach designed to best assist clients at all stages of growth.
